29 Game Day Recipes

January 28, 2015
It's almost Super Bowl day!  But whether you're working on your food picks for the Super Bowl, March Madness, World Series, or a just a regular old Saturday, you're sure to find some game day grub you'll love in this collection of 29 game day recipes.

Who doesn't love a great dip?  I personally am a huge fan of dips ... there's just something about the combination of a yummy creamy dip with the crunch of a crisp dipper.  Whether you serve 'em up with chips, pretzels, fruit, veggies, crackers, or other dippers, great dips are always  the hit of  the party.

Hot Corn Dip - One of our all-time favorite dips.  You'd never guess that this creamy deliciousness starts with canned Mexican style corn.

Hot Onion Souffle Dip - And yet another of our all-time favorite dips.  Loads of chopped onion gets baked up with loads and loads of creamy cheese.  The flavor result is out of this world, my friends!  This is one of those dishes that the recipe is always  asked for.

Baked Artichoke Dip with a Kick - This creamy baked artichoke dip gets a kick from green chilies and pickled jalapeno.  And what a truly delicious kick it is.

Cheesy Hot Broccoli Dip - Three cheeses combine to bring wonderful cheesiness to this hot broccoli dip.  Think broccoli casserole ... but cheesier ... and better ... in a creamy hot dip form.

Creamy Bacon Guacamole Dip - Give guacamole a new twist by turning it into a creamy dip ... with bacon.  It's sooooo good.  And one of my new favorites!

Spinach & Artichoke Dip Party Squares - How about serving dip as a bar?  There's certainly no chance of a double-dipping foul!  Spread a creamy spinach & artichoke dip mixture on a crescent roll crust, bake it up, cut with a pizza cutter ... and everyone can grab a square {or four}.

Easy Creamy Caramel Dip - This sweet dip is perfect for dipping apples and pretzels.  It's also super easy to whip up, makes a huge batch, and is especially great if kids are involved in your game day festivities.

7-Layer Greek Dip - Look no further than this layered Greek dip for a healthier dip choice.  Layers of Greek yogurt tzatziki, hummus, cucumber, kalamata olives, and creamy feta deliver up fabulous flavor.

Savory Bites
I for one don't need a party ... or game day ... to enjoy savory 'little bite' finger foods.  No ~ I sometimes make a meal of them!  But trust me ~ if you are  having a party, these delicious little savory bites will keep your guests coming back for more.

Bourbon Little Smokies - Bourbon.  Chili sauce.  Little sausages.  What more is there to say??  Well, other than you'll love  these little cocktail pups, that is.

Quick Salami & Cream Cheese Bites - With just three simple ingredients, you can have a platter of these quick and easy salami & cream cheese bites ready in mere minutes.

Baked Jalapeno Poppers - Filled with a combination of sharp cheddar, cream cheese, and spices, Baked Jalapeno Poppers pack a wonderfully delicious spicy punch without the fat {or mess} of frying.

Chili Bites in Mini Cornbread Cups - I had so much fun creating these little chili bites!  Turn chili into finger food by serving it up in mini cornbread cups.

Baked Buffalo Wings - Classic Buffalo wings, baked not fried.  Serve them up with delicious homemade blue cheese dressing for dipping, of course.

3-Ingredient Crescent Sausage Bites - Delicious and easy ... what a fabulous combination!  These meaty little bites are always, always, always a huge party hit.  {Just cut them larger for a wonderful breakfast or brunch treat, too!}

Dill Pickle Bites - I love pickles.  And these savory little Dill Pickle Bites are addictively delicious.  I could eat a whole plate full myself, for sure.

3-Ingredient Ham & Pickle Bites - Made with dill or okra pickles, these easy Ham & Pickle Bites are another family favorite.  Both are great, but we like the okra ones best.

Bite-Sized Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza Puffs  - Tasty Bite-Sized Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza Puffs are the perfect little pizza snack.  Whip them up for game day, after school, or as a super fun lunchbox treat, too.

Pork Tenderloin & Pimento Cheese Crostini Melts - Slices of Sweet-and-Spicy Pork Tenderloin are slathered with pimento cheese, topped with bacon crumbles, and broiled.  The result is totally amazing, believe me.

Spinach Balls - Always a crowd-pleasing party favorite.  With a tasty combination of spinach and stuffing mix, who can resist?

Spinach Dip Crescent Bites - The deliciousness of everybody's favorite dip is baked between flaky layers of crescent rolls to create these easy to serve, easy to eat little bites.

Marinated Cheese - Colorful ... beautiful ... absolutely delicious ... and always the hit of the party.  This Marinated Cheese may just be the most perfect party food around.

Boursin Cheese Spread - Boursin spread is packed full of flavor from dried herbs and black pepper.  It's so easy to make your own Boursin at home.

Bowls of salty snacks are a must with a nice cold beer.  And they taste great without that beer, too!  You and your game day guests will grab handful after handful of these tasty little nibbles, I'm sure.

Barbecue Roasted Mixed Nuts - Chock full of sweet-and-spicy barbecue flavor ... no one can east just one handful.  Including me.

Cajun Pretzels - Mini pretzel twists seasoned with a mixture of Old Bay, Ranch seasoning, and cayenne pepper.  They're addictively delicious!

Taco Pick-Up-Sticks Snack Mix - A different snack mix combination, made with French fried onions, potato sticks, and peanuts ... oh my!  Bake them up with delicious homemade taco seasoning and you have a tasty taco snacking treat.

Nothing says game day party snacking like chips and salsa.  There's nothing wrong with the bottled stuff ... but consider making up a big batch or two of your own salsa, too.  The salsa possibilities are endless.

Easy Restaurant-Style Salsa - This is my go-to salsa ... quick and easy to whip up with canned tomatoes, seasoning, fresh jalapeno, and lots of cilantro.  Adjust the 'heat' to meet your personal preference.

Black Bean Salsa - Packed full of black beans and fresh veggies, this spicy salsa gets a bit of zing from red wine vinegar.

Roasted Corn, Black Bean, & Mango Salsa - Packed with spicy-smoky chipotle chilies, caramelized roasted corn, and sweet, cool mango, the flavors in this salsa are truly out-of-this-world good.  And it's gorgeous, too!  Who wouldn't want to grab a chip and dive right in?

Pico de Gallo  - Whip up this fresh salsa with roma tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno, cilantro, and lots of freshly squeezed lime juice.  No one will be able to get enough!

I hope you've found at least a few game day recipes to put on your menu.  Enjoy them!  And ...
