With only 4 ingredients, Hawaiian Fruit Dip is super quick and easy to make!
Hawaiian Dip's fabulous flavor comes from a combination of crushed pineapple and chopped maraschino cherries. It's a combination that's delightfully simple, yet delightfully delicious as well. It pairs wonderfully with a variety of fruits for dipping, or with animal crackers, too.
Our daughter especially loves to grab a little bowl with a handful of animal crackers for an afternoon snack.
But whether you serve fluffy Hawaiian Dip up as party fare, as an appetizer, or for an afternoon snack, it's definitely one of those recipes where the whole is much more than the sum of its very simple parts.
Fluffy Hawaiian Fruit Dip Ingredients:
It takes just 4 simple ingredients to make this super flavorful Hawaiian Dip. Then just
grab some sliced fruit or animal crackers, and dip away to your heart's content! To whip
up a bowl, you'll need:
- Crushed pineapple - An 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple brings the tropical flavor to this delicious dip. Whirl the pineapple in a food processor to chop it finely, creating just a bit of texture in the finished dip.
- Maraschino cherries - When paired with the recipe's pineapple, finely chopped maraschino cherries help create this dip's fabulous flavor.
- Cool Whip - Cool Whip non-dairy whipped topping provides the fluffy base of the dip. Substitute homemade whipped cream, if you'd prefer.
- Confectioners' sugar - A small bit of confectioners' sugar nicely sweetens the dip.
How to Make Fluffy Hawaiian Fruit Dip:
It's super easy to whip up a batch of Hawaiian Fruit Dip.
Start by draining an 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple. Place the pineapple in a food processor, and give it a quick whirl to chop it finely. You can skip this step if you'd like, -- the dip will be chunkier, but every bit as good.
Place the pineapple in a bowl along with six finely chopped maraschino cherries. Then, stir in a container of Cool Whip and a little confectioners' sugar.
That's it! -- That's truly all it takes to make this.
Pop the dip in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to allow the flavors to meld. Then you're ready to serve it up with a variety of fruits or some animal crackers for dipping.
And with only 4 ingredients? -- It's also super quick and easy to make! Hawaiian Dip is definitely one of those recipes where the whole is much more than the sum of its very simple parts.
