Pizza is hands-down my favorite food.  If you asked me what I would choose if I could only eat one food for the rest of my life -- pizza would be the choice.

Whether it's from a pizza shop, homemade like my favorite sausage & balsamic-caramelized onion pizza, French bread pizza, pizza spaghetti, bite-sized pepperoni & sausage pizza puffs, or anything in between, I'll take my pizza in any form.

My newest favorite? -- This extra-cheesy Baked Pizza Dip.

While there was no doubt I would love this dip, I'm happy to report it was a total hit with our entire family.

While there was no doubt I would love this dip, I'm happy to report it was a total hit with our entire family.  Our sweet 9-year-old Little Miss H. gave it a two thumbs-up, and did way more than her share of work in licking the platter clean.

She loves it so much, Baked Pizza Dip will be making frequent appearances at our house.  Miss H. immediately put in her request for me to make it again and again!

I'm also happy to report, a dish of this hot and bubbly dip is super easy to make.  All it takes is building up some simple layers in a pie plate or small casserole dish.

To make Baked Pizza Dip, start by mixing together a package of softened cream cheese with a little mayonnaise and shredded mozzarella cheese.  Then spread the mixture in the bottom of a pie plate.  This first layer creates the creamy base of the dip.

Loaded with creamy cheesy-ness, pepperoni minis, and all the flavor of traditional pizza pie, it's perfectly-dippable pure pizza deliciousness.

Top the cream cheese layer with a cup of prepared sauce.

You can use jarred spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, or some homemade sauce you have on hand.  All will work just great.

Spread the sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer, covering it completely.

On top of the sauce layer, sprinkle on some pepperoni minis.

If you use regular pepperoni instead of the minis, just cut the slices in quarters.

It's easy to pile up a good stack of pepperoni slices and cut the stack into quarters all at the same time. -- Much quicker than cutting each pepperoni slice individually.

Top the pepperoni layer with shredded mozzarella cheese, and then sprinkle on another layer of more pepperoni.

Once the dip ingredients are layered up in the dish, pop it in the oven.  Bake the dip for about 30 to 35 minutes until its lightly browned and bubbly around the edges.

Then serve it up hot with Fritos Scoops, tortilla chips, crackers, or baguette slices for dipping!  We love it best with Fritos Scoops or baguette slices.  But hey, no judgment here for just gobbling it with a spoon, too.

No matter what you use to scoop it with, this Baked Pizza Dip is one family-friendly crowd-pleasing hot dip.  Loaded with creamy cheesy-ness and all the flavor of traditional pizza pie, it's perfectly pure pizza deliciousness in a fun dippable form.
