The year 2020 definitely didn't unfold the way any of us expected.  It was filled with many many things we never expected to experience in our lifetimes -- from school shut-downs, to social-distancing, mask wearing, and so many other pandemic protocols that have become necessities of the times.  It's a year I hope we all never have to repeat -- and one I hope leads us into a much healthier and more stable 2021.

But alas as we get ready to ring in the new year, it's still fun to have a little look back at the deliciousness delivered up during the previous one.  So let's take a peek back at the top 10 newly-shared recipes of 2020 from The Kitchen is My Playground.

From our family to yours, Happy New Year! We wish you a 2021 filled with good health and happiness.

For me, it's always fun to look back through the year's posts and see which ones have taken the top spots as your favorites ... and especially which recipe takes top-billing as the #1 most-viewed of all.

Thank you so much for being a reader of The Kitchen is My Playground.  We are humbled and blessed to have you all here, and look forward to keeping the tried-and-true family-tested recipes coming in the new year.

And now, here are your top 10 favorites from this past year:

As you'll see throughout this top 10 countdown, 2020 was the year of the Yum Yum here at The Kitchen is My Playground.  Sliding in at the number 10 spot is this banana pudding version of this classic creamy dessert.  With its banana pudding-inspired filling sandwiched between Yum Yum's two creamy ultra-fluffy layers of deliciousness, straight-up banana pudding's got some serious competition!

This recipe being in the top 10 for the year is extra special, because it's the first baked item our 10-year-old has made for the blog all by herself.  She's so proud it made the top 10!
