It's tough not to love the sweet, warm, comforting flavor of cinnamon. And I sure do love when cinnamon is front and center in something, whether it's baked goods like classic Snickerdoodles and Cinnamon Roll Cookies, breakfast treats like Overnight Cinnamon Roll Casserole, or snack nibbles like Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels and these super easy Cinnamon Sugar Crackers. When cinnamon's the star, I'm a happy girl.

But not only are these Cinnamon Sugar Crackers jam-packed loaded with cinnamon flavor, they're ridiculously easy to make, too. And hey, you've just gotta love a recipe for something that tastes great and is easy, too. In my opinion, those are the absolute best kind of recipes around.

Now when I say these crackers are ridiculously easy to make, I'm not at all exaggerating. To whip up a batch, all you do is combine some canola oil, cinnamon, and granulated sugar in Ziploc bag, smoosh it around to mix it up, and pour in a box of Saltine minis. Give the crackers a gentle toss in the bag to get them coated, let them sit to soak up the flavor, and that's it -- you're done. 

Heck, this recipe's so easy you don't even need a bowl!

Super Easy Cinnamon Sugar Cracker Ingredients:

It only takes 4 ingredients to make these super easy Cinnamon Sugar Crackers. To whip up a batch, you'll need:

  • Saltine minis - Mini Saltines make these cinnamon-sugar crackers perfectly snackable.

  • Canola oil - Serves to bind the seasonings to the crackers. Vegetable oil also works just fine.

  • Granulated sugar - Brings the sweetness to the classic cinnamon-sugar combination.

  • Ground cinnamon - Brings the fabulous comforting-spice flavor to the crackers.

  • Gallon-sized Ziploc bagA gallon-sized Ziploc bag holds the full batch of crackers, and makes the recipe super easy to make. Use a large shallow container with a tight-fitting lid instead, if needed.

How to Make Super Easy Cinnamon Sugar Crackers:

Mixing up a batch of Cinnamon Sugar Crackers is truly ridiculously easy.

Simply place some canola (or vegetable) oil in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag, and add some granulated sugar and cinnamon. Seal the bag and work the mixture with your hands to thoroughly combine the oil and seasonings. If you don't have a Ziploc bag, you can use a large shallow container with a tight-fitting lid instead.

Then, pour a box of Saltine minis into the bag.

Seal the Ziploc bag with some air in it -- which allows the crackers some room to move around. Gently turn the bag over and over to tumble the crackers around until all the crackers are coated with the oil and cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Let the bag sit for about an hour, then gently turn it again. Repeat this several times over the matter of a few hours until all of the oil mixture is absorbed.

Then to best develop their flavor, allow the crackers to rest in the sealed bag overnight.

Ingredients

  • 1 (11 oz.) box Saltine Minis
  • 1/2 c. canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • gallon-sized Ziploc bag

Instructions

  1. Place canola oil, sugar, and cinnamon in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag. Seal bag and work mixture with your hands to thoroughly combine.
  2. Add crackers to the bag.
  3. Seal Ziploc bag with air in it (to allow crackers some room to move around).
