Are you like me and get tired of grabbing the same old snacks all the time?  When I hit that afternoon snack-attack time, I tend to open up the pantry door and grab the same thing day after day after day.  So when Hormel Foods challenged me to Snack Outside the Box, it was a perfect opportunity to change up my snacking routine!  Hormel Bacon Toppings were just the inspiration I needed to create a new tasty favorite snack ~ Bacon Cheddar Puffs.

With the help of 100% real bacon Hormel Bacon Toppings, these delicious-and-easy Bacon Cheddar Puffs can be hot out of the oven quick as a flash ... without the time {or mess} needed to fry up the bacon.

I love that.

And I love having a warm, fresh-baked tasty snack to enjoy.  There's just something about a warm snack that truly satisfies, isn't there?

Perfect for after school snacking, game day, or party time, Bacon Cheddar Puffs truly are easy to prepare.  Simply whip up an easy pancake-like batter, add some chopped green onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and Hormel Real Bacon Pieces or Real Bacon Bits.

Scoop the batter into a mini muffin pan, and bake for about 16 minutes.  Serve with some salsa or warmed pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce for dipping, if you'd like, and you'll have a warm-and-delicious snack ready to be gobbled up in a flash.  Hmmmm ... and while I haven't tried it yet ... I bet Bacon Cheddar Puffs would be good with Ranch dressing for dipping, too.  Perfect for those Ranch-lovin' kids out there!

Now besides being quick, easy, and warm-and-delicious, Bacon Cheddar Puffs are freezer-friendly too.  Make a couple batches when you can, pop them in the freezer, and when you're ready to enjoy, simply thaw and reheat for 5 to 8 minutes in a 350 degree oven.  How's that for quick and easy snacking?

Thank you to Hormel Bacon Toppings for challenging me to shake up my snacking! ... they sure made it easy to come up with a quick, easy, and delicious new snack.
