ingredients:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 3 T. butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. canned 100% pure pumpkin
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. finely chopped apple
instructions:
How to cook Pumpkin-Apple Waffles
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, pumpkin, and milk.
- Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture; stir until just combined. Stir in chopped apple.
- Cook in waffle maker according to manufacturer’s directions. Serve warm with maple syrup or cinnamon syrup.

- I use a Belgium waffle maker for big, thick waffles.
