Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery & Bourbon Whipped Cream

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boston Market.  All text and opinions are my own.
I served up a complete Thanksgiving dinner for 12, and all I made was this Bourbon Whipped Cream ... thanks to Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery!  Everything I needed for a delicious meal was shipped directly to my home.  How stress-free is that??
{Boston Market will take orders until November 19, 2017 for delivery for this upcoming 2017 Thanksgiving.}

Hey you all, I have some very cool news to share for those who love getting together with family and friends for Thanksgiving, but don't necessarily love stressing in the kitchen to get the Thanksgiving dinner together.

Boston Market now ships Thanksgiving meals directly to your door!

Since 1985, Boston Market has been serving up delicious home style meals for people who'd rather not cook.  But this year, not only does Boston Market want to serve you Thanksgiving dinner, the company wants to send it straight to your door, too.

And do you know what that means for us?  No recipe reviewing or deciding.  No grocery list making.  No grocery shopping.  No chopping.  Very minimal meal prep and clean up.  No hours and hours of cooking.  And a delicious complete Thanksgiving dinner with ease!

The only thing that could make it easier is if the meal came along with someone to do my dishes.  But hey I've got to say, with Boston Market doing all the meal prep, even doing the dishes wasn't so bad.

Our complete Thanksgiving meal arrived conveniently on my doorstep, securely packed in a sturdy box.  Being a food lover {obviously}, I was like a kid on Christmas morning eagerly anticipating opening my Thanksgiving "present" from Boston Market.

Inside, the Thanksgiving meal goodies were packed in a cooler box well-stocked with cooling blocks.  The items were packed and shipped frozen, and all of them were still frozen when they arrived at my door ... so no worries about food safety issues, there.

All I had to do was unpack the box, allow some thawing time, heat the items, and serve.  My Thanksgiving meal for 12 was as simple as that.  Other than the all-of-five-minutes it took me to whip up our Bourbon Whipped Cream, that is.

Being a huge fan of Boston Market sides, I was thrilled with the selection of items included in the meal.  Along with a fully-cooked whole roasted turkey, we received my very favorite Spinach Artichoke Dip with crackers, 2 Mashed Potatoes, 2 Home Style Stuffing {also a favorite!}, 2 Gravy, 2 Cranberry Walnut Relish, and 12 yeast rolls ... all fully prepared and ready to just heat and serve.

Whenever I cook a turkey, I worry it's going to turn out dry and tough.  I'm happy to report that the turkey in our Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery meal was incredibly tender and juicy.

And you know what?  I even messed up heating the turkey ... and it was still tender and juicy.  Yes, I got to talking with my Mom and let the turkey stay in the oven just a tad bit too long, heating it to an internal temperature of 155 rather than the recommended 140.  And yes, it was still deliciously juicy.

Very conveniently, the sides can be warmed in either the oven or the microwave, which made heating everything a breeze.  I chose to heat the stuffing in the oven while the turkey was warming, and heated everything else in the microwave, which worked well for timing everything to be ready and warm for serving.

Boston Market didn't forget about dessert for the complete meal for 12, either.

The meal comes with 2 classic Thanksgiving pies ~ a pumpkin pie and an apple pie.  Both were extra-fabulous topped with our Bourbon whipped cream, I must say.  And our 7-year-old Little Miss H. couldn't get enough of the pumpkin pie.  It was her favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, for sure.

So if you love getting together with family and friends for Thanksgiving, but would rather not stress in the kitchen getting the Thanksgiving dinner together, I recommend ordering a Boston Market Thanksgiving Home Delivery meal.  It was certainly easy to prepare, and enjoyed by all at our home.

Still want the ease and convenience of the Thanksgiving Home Delivery program, but don't need to serve 12 people?  That's no problem.  Boston Market has two meal options available that serve 4 to 6 people, as well.

Or, send a complete meal to friends and family as a treat.  I'm thinking one of the meals for 4 to 6 people would be perfect to send my grandmother to make her Thanksgiving day easier.  If you live near a Boston Market restaurant, full Thanksgiving meals or individual side dishes can be ordered ahead of time or picked up last minute in any Boston Market location the week of Thanksgiving, too.

I love that Boston Market offers so many wonderful options to make our Thanksgiving day meals easier.

Now, just one thing about my home delivery order, Boston Market ... can I add on someone to do the dishes?

Bourbon Whipped Cream
(Print recipe)
Ingredients
  • 1 c. whipping or heavy cream
  • 2 T. light brown sugar
  • 1 T. (1/2 oz.) bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • small pinch salt
Directions
  1. Chill a large mixing bowl and beaters for an electric mixer {this helps the cream whip better}. Place whipping cream in chilled bowl and beat with an electric mixer on high speed until thickened and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, and salt. Beat until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes more.
  3. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
Enjoy!
