Finally, I say ... finally!!! Huh, you ask? Finally what?
Finally the time of our actual move has arrived! So the next time I enjoy this yummy, easy ice cream it will be in the comforts of my new home. That's right, we close on our new home this week! But man alive, ...
it feels like it's taken forever for move time to actually arrive.
In my mind, I had planned for us to be settled into our new home by the 4th of July. Well, things don't always go as planned. {Or should I say, things don't usually go as planned! That seems to be more the case.}
Why the delay? Because I guess we're really picky when it comes to picking out a home.
Because it took us seven weeks to find one. Seven. Straight. Weekends. of looking. at houses. With a few weekday treks, as well. Now, I know to those of you who love watching those house hunting shows on TV, seven weeks of looking at houses sounds like loads of fun.
To me, it absolutely was not loads of fun.
It was frustrating.
And it made me want to eat lots of bowls of this homemade chocolate ice cream. Made extra chocolate-y with chocolate sauce. Oh yeh, chocolate topped with chocolate. It totally helps with house-hunting woes.
Fortunately, whipping up this 3-ingredient, no machine chocolate ice cream
is waaaaaaaaay easier and quicker than finding a new home. It only
takes a few quick minutes, instead of a few agonizing weeks.
So what are you waiting for? Go make this! You'll be done in a
flash.
And I'm happy to say the next time I make this, it will be in
my new kitchen. With house-hunting and the move behind me.
