Your Top 14 of 2014 {the Most-Viewed Recipes of the Year!}

Top 14 of 2014 on The Kitchen is My Playground blog

I think I say this every single year at the start of my 'most-viewed recipes of the year' post, but I'll say it again ... this is my favorite post to write each year!  I so enjoy going back through the posts of the year to see which ones were your favorites.  I have a general idea throughout the year which recipes you're really liking, but I don't keep tabs on the numbers closely enough to truly know the top ones ... until I write this 'best of' post at the end of the year.

So here it is ... the countdown of your top 14 of 2014!  And as I think I also say every  year, you all have great taste!

14.  Banana Pudding Pie - the first of two banana pudding-based desserts to make the top 14 ... you all love your banana pudding!  Can't say that I blame you ... I love it, too.

13.  Chocolate Mint Chip Ice Cream - so easy, and soooooo good.  You can have this scrumptious ice cream in your freezer in no time.

12.  Spinach Dip Crescent Bites - Everybody's favorite party dip in a baked little crescent roll bite. Such a great choice for the top 14 list!

11.  Fresh Cucumber Pickles - These easy little refrigerator pickles are a summer staple in our family, introduced to me by my sister-in-law.  We LOVE them ... but I truly had no idea you would all love them as much as you did.  These were one of the top 14-list surprises for me!

10.  Banana Pudding Icebox Cake - The second of the two banana pudding-based desserts to make the top 14 list.  And let me just tell you, this cake is ah-MAZ-ing.  {Though I do need to get a better photo of this one ... the photo doesn't do it's deliciousness justice at all.}

9.  Slow Cooker Apple Pudding Cake - Readers went crazy for this slow cooker apple pudding cake.  For good reason ... it's truly delicious.

8.  Cucumber, Tomato, & Avocado Salad - This simple little salad with honey vinaigrette is soooo good.  I'm so glad you all liked it as much as we did.

7.  Quick Weeknight Chicken Penne Alfredo - We adore your #7 choice.  And guess what? ... Not only is it quick, it's a {skinnier} version of alfredo, too!

6.  Overnight Cinnamon Roll Casserole - Made super easy with Sister Schubert's Cinnamon Rolls, this breakfast casserole has become a new Christmas morning breakfast tradition for our family.  Having only been posted on The Kitchen is My Playground in mid-December, it rocketed into its spot on the top 14 list quickly!

5.  Twix Cheesecake Pie - Twix.  Cheesecake.  Pie.  Putting all three of those words together in one creamy, chocolatey dessert? ~ I think we can all see why this creation landed in the top 14.

4.  White Chocolate Birthday {or Easter} Cake - Birthday cakes with sprinkles are just plain fun.  And apparently you all think so, too!

3.  Dill Pickle Bites - These Dill Pickle Bites are one of my absolute favorite little party bites.  I'm so glad you all liked them, too!

2.  Cauliflower {Just Like} Loaded Baked Potato Casserole - I think I could eat your #2 choice every day!!  It's soooo good.

And ... the #1 most-viewed recipe of 2014 is ...

1.  Champagne Margaritas - I just love this fun twist on margaritas ... or twist on champagne cocktails.  Oh, whatever  it's a twist on, it's just plain fun and good!

Thank you so much for reading The Kitchen is My Playground!  I'm truly blessed and humbled to have each and every one of you join in with me on my little corner of the blogosphere.  I'm very much looking forward to seeing what adventures {and recipes} unfold in 2015.
