Think outside the six-pack this Memorial Day weekend and summer ... and enjoy this honey-laced Moscato Bee's Knees and other creative wine cocktails instead, thanks to Excelsior's Frontera Wines!
With the upcoming 3-day Memorial Day weekend ... which we all know, unofficially kicks off the summer season ... it's the perfect time to play around with some fun and easy wine cocktails.
And play around with fun wine cocktails is exactly what Excelsior Wines has done with their seven new wine cocktail recipes featuring Frontera Wines {Frontera Cocktail Recipes}. And guess what? They challenged me to do the same!
Now, that's a challenge I absolutely could not resist.
Wine cocktails are such a crisp, cooling, and refreshing beverage choice for hot summer days. I accepted this challenge whole-heartedly.
When I looked to the Frontera Cocktail Recipes for inspiration, I wanted to make them all {and I bet you'll want to, too} ... they all look so amazing.
But the very first cocktail that caught my eye combined these two crisp summery flavors ...
... cucumber and lime!
And the cucumber and lime were combined with my absolute favorite wine ~ Chardonnay ~ as the wine base. So of course, I had to give Frontera's Chardonnay Al Fresco a try.
{Visit the Frontera Cocktail Recipes site for their Chardonnay Al Fresco recipe.}
Crisp. Light. With a hint of cooling cucumber. It's a super easy wine cocktail to whip up for summer sipping, for sure.
Being a beekeeper, the second Frontera wine cocktail that caught my eye was their Moscato Oh Honey Bee ...
Moscato with honey and fresh raspberries? ... Who could resist???? {Not me!} As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to try it ASAP.
And ... as you can probably guess ... I loved it.
The honey, fresh lemon juice, and fresh raspberries combine to create such a flavorful cocktail when mixed with the sweetness of Moscato as the base.
Oh, and did I mention that Frontera has a video to go along with each of their delicious cocktail recipes? I love, love, love the little video that goes along with their Oh My Honey Bee recipe ... it's so fun! I included it here so you can check it out {try not to smile while you watch it ... I dare you}:
And so this Memorial Day weekend ... and all throughout the summer ..., I'll be thinking outside the six-pack and sipping on my refreshing Moscato Bee's Knees ... with a little extra drizzle of honey on top.
