Peppermint Hot Chocolate {Made with Peppermint Patties}

Peppermint Hot Chocolate made with Peppermint Patties is the perfect warm sippin' treat for cold winter days and nights. Enjoy a minty mugful made with milk, or with Silk Cashewmilk for an irresistibly creamy non-dairy version. Thank you to Silk Cashewmilk for sponsoring this post.

So, what do you get when you melt the cool minty center and delicious dark chocolate coating of peppermint patties into warmed milk? One very tasty Peppermint Hot Chocolate, my friends.

One very tasty Peppermint Hot Chocolate, indeed.

I love the combination of mint and chocolate. My husband, on the other hand? ~ can't stand it. Whenever I make mint-and-chocolate creations, I'm on my own for taste testing them.
But I think I can handle taking that one for the team.

Especially when the creations are as scrumptious as this Peppermint Hot Chocolate made with peppermint patties. It's so good, I don't think I would have wanted to share anyway.

Topped off with mini marshmallows, a mint sprig, and a little sprinkling of crushed peppermint sticks, it's pretty, too. Don't you think?

So hey, have you seen the new Silk Cashewmilk? Yes ... Cashewmilk. Made with the special creaminess of cashews.

I used it to make a non-dairy batch of this Peppermint Hot Chocolate, and it was great! It actually intensified the pepperminty-ness of the hot chocolate, which made it even more absolutely fabulous than the 'regular' version.

Silk Cashewmilk is creamier than skim milk and has fewer calories, too. Not to mention, it's dairy free. Which makes it a fabulous irresistibly creamy base for this yummy hot chocolate ~ especially if you don't want dairy or you want to cut a few calories out of this decadently delicious treat. It's a great dairy alternative straight out of the glass, over cereal, and in other recipes too.

While you run out and get some Cashewmilk to try, I'll be sippin' on my Peppermint Hot Chocolate made with peppermint patties. Okay? And trying to convince my husband that he just doesn't know what he's missing. Well ... maybe I won't be trying that hard to convince him. 'Cause them I'd have to share.
