The perfect combination of crunchy-on-the-outside and cool-and-creamy on the inside, you can whip up classic Fried Ice Cream right at home.

I remember well the first time I saw Fried Ice Cream on a restaurant menu. I was in graduate school, and, as a 'poor' college student, was enjoying the rare treat of a dinner out with my friends. We were having dinner at a well-known chain Mexican restaurant. One that also so happened to be well-known for it's fried ice cream.
While both the restaurant and the fried ice cream may have been well-known to most, they were both new to me. See, having grown up in Vermont ...

I played in the snow today! But my kind of playing in the snow is probably a little different than you're thinking. I didn't make snow angels. Or go sledding. Or build a snowman. Or even have a snowball fight with the neighborhood kids. {and I certainly didn't help shovel the driveway}.
Nope.
Fluffy, unpacked snow works best. Just scoop the snow up with a big bowl. Don't pack the snow into the bowl, as this will make your snow cream less creamy.
My kind of playing in the snow was ... to make snow cream! You know, when you turn snow and a couple of other simple ingredients into a made-from-snow-ice-cream-treat? And I played today by whipping up five different flavors of snow cream. Oohhhhhhhh, they were all so good!
