It's that time of year, my friends, when we take a look back at the most popular reader-favorite recipes from the year here at The Kitchen is My Playground.  And what a delicious year it's been!  I do believe I say this every year, but I'll say it again ... this may just be my favorite post to write each year.  I love to go back through the year's recipes and see what you all liked best!

Having grown up in Vermont, warm and comforting drinks were a staple during the Winter months, and especially at the holidays.  Nothing warmed you up better after playing or working out in the cold and snow than a steamy hot drink.  Especially if it was topped with a delicious dollop of creamy whipped cream.  I remember my Mom whipping up many mugfuls of homemade hot cocoa, Russian tea, and hot mocha to thaw us out on those cold winter days.
