German Chocolate Cracker Candy Ingredients

It takes just 6 ingredients to whip up a pan of German Chocolate Cracker Candy deliciousness.  For a batch, you'll need:

  • Chocolate graham crackers - Serve as the base of this cracker candy version.

  • Brown sugar - Along with butter, creates cracker candy signature sugary syrup.

  • Butter - Use unsalted butter to boil together with the recipe's brown sugar.

  • Milk chocolate chips - These milder chocolate chips are perfect to help recreate classic German chocolate flavor in cracker candy form.  You could substitute regular semi-sweet chocolate chips, if you prefer.

  • Coconut - A signature ingredient in the German chocolate flavor combination.

  • Pecans - Chopped pecans bring nice crunch and finish out the classic German chocolate ingredient combo.

Whipping up a batch of these chocolate beauties is easy! Start by lining a rimmed baking pan with sheets of chocolate graham crackers.  Get the graham crackers all nice and snug in there with their edges touching.

Then put some butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan, and heat it up until it's all nice and melty and smooth.
